Gone Golfing

Kenneth J Rickards passed away Monday, July 30, 2007 at his home surrounded by his family. Born December 10, 1955 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Joseph Guiard Rickards and Mary Virginia Wheeler. Ken's greatest accomplishment was his three sons whom he loved dearly. He was a successful businessman as owner of Archer Mechanical, Inc. Many years were spent coaching baseball. He had an enormous passion for golf, where he met many good friends. Most of all he had a huge heart, was caring and generous always to those less fortunate.

He is survived by his wife, Paula; three wonderful sons, Matt (Ashley) Rickards, Tony Rickards, Nick Rickards; his three very special grandchildren, Connor, Xavier and Avory; loving mother, Mary Wheeler; stepfather, Dale Wheeler of Highland, Utah; brothers, Joseph Rickards, Todd Wheeler; sisters, Jill Rickards and Susan Fereday. Preceded in death by sister, Shiela Rickards Shallenberger; father, Joseph G. Rickards and grandparents. Ken will be greatly missed by his family, many friends, and business associates.

Please join us for a service and sharing memories in Ken's honor on Saturday, Aug. 4, 2007, 12:00 noon at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road, with a viewing 10:30-11:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment, Midway Cemetery
