Marilyn McQuarrie Barton, age 57, passed away on September 1, 2009 at her home surrounded by her family, after a valiant fight against cancer.
Born April 23, 1952 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Lamond Gurr and Margaret Crask McQuarrie.
Marilyn graduated from Brigham Young University with a BS degree in psychology and an Associate degree in Nursing. Marilyn will be remembered for her quick wit and sense of humor. She loved candles and champagne and had a special reverence and love for the ocean.
She is survived by children, Benjamin (Melinda) Bailey, Lauralee (Jim) Ryan, and James (Erica) Barton; mother, Margaret C. McQuarrie; brothers, Marty P. and Mel C. McQuarrie; sisters, Marsha Lang, Melissa (Stephen) Higgs, and Marlene Young; nine grandchildren. Preceded in death by her father, L. Gurr McQuarrie, brother, Mark G. McQuarrie, and daughter Jennylee Bailey.
Memorial Services will be held on September 12, 2009 at 3:00 p.m. in the Midway City Cemetery, Midway, Utah.
