Son of Elizabeth Speers and Sebert Crutcher Shelton, born in Spring Creek, McDonough Co., Ill. Married to Emmaline Durfey of Cache Valley, UT. & later divorced, one son- Henry Miller Shelton. Married to Katurah Mariah Kofford of Heber City, UT., one dau. Margaret Caroline(Ettie). One son Marion Jr., Katurah died after son was born, son died 6 mos. later. Married Sarah Gould Montgomery Duke also of Heber City, UT., a widow with 6 children. Three children from this third marriage, daughters Christine Elizabeth & Agnes Cora, one son Sebert Murray Shelton. Marion Jackson Shelton died age 56, in Provo, UT. of chronic alcoholism.
