Midway Cemetery
Wasatch County,
Utah

Our beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Dolan Ruesch Workman, age 76, peacefully returned to his Heavenly Father on Sunday, Nov. 13, 2011 of causes incident to age. He said he was looking forward to the reunion with his sweetheart and his maker.

He was born Nov. 30, 1934 in Hurricane, Utah, the son of Nephi Spendlove Workman and Louise Ruesch Workman. He married Dixie Lee Nielson Sept. 10, 1954, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He was an active member of the LDS church. He devoted his time to a wide variety of service in the church throughout his life.

He worked for many years as a brickmason and took great pride in his work. There are many buildings around the Salt Lake valley and all of Utah that stand as monuments to his talent. He enjoyed doing remodel work on his home and doing woodwork in his shop, especially handmade toys for his grandchildren.

He loved people. To him there were no strangers; just friends he hadn't met.

Survivors include his daughters, Shelly Johnson (Jeff), of Bountiful; Pam Yates (Matthew), of Kaysville; Laurie Webster (Jon,) of Farmington; Valerie Brinkerhoff (Spencer), of Hurricane; 14 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and four more on the way.

Preceded in death by his parents; his sweetheart, Dixie; all his siblings.

The family expresses their appreciation to Rocky Mountain Care Hospice for their kind attendance to Dad in his final hours.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Nov. 18, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at the Russon Brothers Mortuary, 295 North Main Street, Bountiful, Utah, where friends may call Thursday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. and Friday morning 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment – Midway City Cemetery.
